I have owned the farm house in Turner for 12 years; my dad and I turned it into a very unique five unit.  The Lewiston building has been in my family since 1954 and I have owned the Lewiston building for 18 years. Five years ago, I started to rent to traveling professionals because they are cleaner and more respectful. I have been really enjoying meeting the 80+ travlers that have stayed at Picard’s Apartmet from all over the US.

Includes
WIFI, TVs, heat/air conditioning, electricity, refrigerator, stove, dishes, pans, silverware, microwave, crock pot, coffee maker, queen beds with bedding, recliner and couch, off street parking, plowing, landscaping and 2 free laundry rooms.

  • Applying does not guarantee approval.
  • Applications are viewed on a first come, first served basis.
  • Dishonesty of any kind on an application results in an automatic denial.
  • One pet may be allowed.
  • Deposit of one month rent is required, except for traveling professionals.  The deposit will be returned when you move out if you give me one month notice, and the apartment is clean and not damaged.
  • The units in Turner are one bedroom only.  Because of the septic system, the most I can have is two people per apartment . The Lewiston building has a limit too, the efficiency units are for one person and the one bedroom apartments can have 2 people.
  • No baby wipes or paper towels in or down the toilet. If the roto rooter guy has to come because you flush something that you’re not supposed to, you will be responsible for paying me back for the bill. Any other damages to the apartment, you are responsible for the repairs.
  • Only tobacco smoking is allowed on the Turner property, the designated area is right by the big white rock out front; if someone complains, another designated area will be assigned or there will be no smoking allowed at all. Both buildings are non-smoking.
  • No illegal activity on the property.
  • No incense or candles.
  • Respect the building and other tenants by being very quiet etc.
  • Only the people that live here and the people I rent a parking spot to can park in the driveway. If anyone else parks in the driveway who is not supposed to be there, they will be towed at their expense.
  • I reserve the right to end this agreement at any time with some refund, if appropriate.

Criminal Background:  If a felony of any kind, a misdemeanor or criminal charge relating to violence, theft, or dishonesty, or if you are on the sex offender registry, your application will be denied.

Rental History:  You must provide two years of recent rental/home ownership. You must not have any evictions, major lease violations, or owe previous landlords money for any reason.

 

How to reserve your unit.

“I have lived in Bill’s apartments for the past year and a half. I started in an efficiency for 6 months, which I loved then transferred to a larger one. The house apartment neighbors are quiet and respectful. Almost all travelers. St. Mary’s is very close, so is CMMC. A lot of folks walk to work. 5 miles from some wonderful hiking trails, and it is a really sweet little town. Bill is quick to take care of any issues. I will be moving, but only because my new job location involves a long commute, so I am moving closer to my new gig. Excellent internet, hot water, heat and plowing. Yes, I would recommend highly. “Bill’s efficiency has a powerful space heater that kept it warm during the winter as a backup. The radiator does work; I just like the Infrared Quartz Cabinet Electric Space Heater with Remote better. There is a toaster oven, fridge and microwave. The plumbing and electricity very reliable! I enjoyed the short commute to work at CMMC in Lewiston, the on-site parking, and short term lease. The tenants are quiet!” Micah B, RN (#2B)

“I have enjoyed my stay on Bartlet St very much. Bill went out of his way when I moved in to make sure I has everything I needed. He will check in periodically to make sure everything is still going well, and will work with you to make sure your stay is enjoyably. The place is quite and the neighbors are respectful, and I like how close it has been to work. Before the snow, I was walking to work at the hospital in 8 minutes. “Bill Picard’s apartments are great! When I was looking for a place to stay for a work assignment and was in a tough spot and on a tight schedule Bill really came thru for me. He was easy to work with and gave quick communication, easy application process and just seemed to genuinely care. As a landlord Bill is responsible and responsive to needs, cares about maintaining his properties and is easy to get ahold of when needed. Decent apartments for a decent price. Great for travel workers. The apt is also very close to local hospitals, making it an ideal spot for travel nurses who work in Lewiston. “This was my first travel experience and I was very happy with my stay at Picard’s apartment in Lewiston,Maine. I worked at CMMC and was able to walk to and from work which was very convenient and I felt safe in doing so. The apartment is also directly across from the Basilica which is a beautiful church and faith community and hearing the bells ringing at different times brought such peace and joy to my stay here. I travel with my 11 year old golden retriever and we so enjoyed the local parks. “Bill Picard’s units truly caters to travel nurses. Perfect for short-term or long term stays. My space was so nice and clean. I was so pleased with the complimentary basket that was left for me to use while I got settled in. It had really useful supplies in it. I had access to a washer, dryer, kitchen, and outdoor fire pit. It’s days Mr. Bill had cookouts at the location I stayed. It would be very family oriented energy. If there was food I was welcomed to it. Bill Picard was very helpful and gave me information about things to do as I stayed in Maine. I really felt like family for my stay. I definitely recommend Bill Picard travelers unit if you need a place to stay while in Maine. I completely loved my stay.
