Life and healthy relationships.
What Women Want? Great question. I have not figured it out yet, but under many layers we all want to feel needed and loved in a relationship. Having some common interests and goals are very important also. I probably have had more relationships in my lifetime then most have had in their entire lifetime. I’m not talking about romantic relationships but in my line of work I have worked with many different kinds of people.

In our work life and relationships, 99% of the time we are in the situation we are in because of something we did or did not do.
1. Life isn’t fair, but it’s still good.
2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.
3. Life is too short – enjoy it.
4. Your job won’t take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and family will.
5. Pay off your credit cards every month.
6. You don’t have to win every argument. Stay true to yourself.
7. Cry with someone. It’s more healing than crying alone.
8. It’s OK to get angry with God. He can take it.
9. Save for retirement starting with your first paycheck.
10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.
11. Make peace with your past so it won’t screw up the present.
12. It’s OK to let your children see you cry.
13. Don’t compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
14. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn’t be in it.
15. Everything can change in the blink of an eye, but don’t worry, God never blinks.
16.. Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.
17. Get rid of anything that isn’t useful. Clutter weighs you down in many ways.
18. Whatever doesn’t kill you really does make you stronger.
19.. It’s never too late to be happy. But it’s all up to you and no one else.
20. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don’t take no for an answer.
21. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie. Don’t save it for a special occasion. Today is special.
22. Over prepare, then go with the flow.
23. Be eccentric now. Don’t wait for old age to wear purple.
24. The most important sex organ is the brain.
25. No one is in charge of your happiness but you.
26. Frame every so-called disaster with these words ‘In five years, will this matter?’
27. Always choose life.
28. Forgive
29. What other people think of you is none of your business.
30. Time heals almost everything. Give time time.
31. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
32. Don’t take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
33. Believe in miracles.
34. God loves you because of who God is, not because of anything you did or didn’t do.
35. Don’t audit life. Show up and make the most of it now.
36. Growing old beats the alternative of dying young.
37. Your children get only one childhood.
38. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved.
39. Get outside every day. Miracles are waiting everywhere.
40. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else’s, we’d grab ours back.
41. Envy is a waste of time. Accept what you already have, not what you need
42. The best is yet to come..
43. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
44. Yield.
45. Life isn’t tied with a bow, but it’s still a gift.”

Looking for a down-to-earth single woman 40-55.
My match.com profile: age 52
My hobby is performing stand-up comedy all over Maine. I like country music and classic rock.
- I know that I am not as good looking as Brad Pit, however, he does not have a wash board stomach without the work out like I do!
- I don’t eat Hot Pockets for dinner, or frozen pizza every night.
- I don’t watch NASCAR or WWE or anything like that, I can watch it out my window, I used to live in Lewiston. Ha, ha, ha!
- I don’t use drugs or smoke or drink and my friends don’t either.
- I don’t live with my mother, I own two apartment buildings, one in town and one in the country.
- Life is too short for drama and being vague.
I want and need a healthy relationship with an amazing and unique woman that knows what is important in a relationship. Yes, intimacy is very important in life; however this alone does not make a healthy relationship. My friends say that I am the most straight forward, honest, loyal, caring and passionate man that they know. Take a chance on friendship and then maybe more. I’m a fairly successful entrepreneur and have always had a passion for business. In fact, I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Maine. I’m currently the owner of a property business, operating two thriving apartment buildings. One of the buildings is 2 minute drive to CMMC or St. Mary’s hospital so 4 years ago I decided to take a chance and change over my business to rent to traveling professionals that works at the hospitals.
In my spare time, I enjoy making people laugh! So much so, that I put myself out there and perform stand-up comedy all over New England. And I’ve even been featured on television several times! Now, you must know: I’m a very straight-forward person… BUT it’s because I value honesty. I’m also very loyal, passionate and attentive — you won’t find a better listener!

Thank you for taking the time to read my match.com profile. Dating sites are scary so I am cautious, but I am very interested in meeting a one of a kind woman that knows what is important in a relationship. Enjoying each other’s company and having some common interests are a good start in having a comfortable healthy relationship in my book. But maybe we are too scared of the unknown. I’m looking for someone I can share my sense of humor with. I want to make you smile and laugh and bring out the best version of yourself even when you’re feeling low. I’m looking for someone who is down-to-earth and genuine, who values personality as much as I do, someone who I can make a connection with on a deeper level. My New Year’s resolution is to be not so shy getting to know an amazing and beautiful single woman. I know that I might not be the typical guy that most women are looking for. But I am probably the most thoughtful, caring, loyal man that you will meet. I am also a compassionate person and a good listener, and that is also what I am looking for in a woman. Like you, I want to feel loved and accepted by the person that I am with.

Most men have some kind of disability: such as can’t cook, not there for you mentally and physically, and so on. I can’t hide my disability, but I am more mentally and physically there for you than most men. I would be very interested in hearing your opinion about how I presented myself here and anything else you want to talk about.
Bonus points if you know:
• What is truck day in Boston?
• What is an Atari?

I had my yearly physical the other day and my doctor said that I am a stud, and I am in perfect health. So why are you still single, he asked? You are not a drinker or a smoker or an axe murderer in a power wheelchair. As you can see, I love to make people laugh. To show you that I am not like other guys, I wrote a poem about some of my feelings. Bad or good I would like to hear your thoughts about my poem.
Opening Day, new outlook, new relationships, and spring is here and a new season brings many possibilities, if you have an open mind. We have a real business man running for the White House. A real ace and a win on opening day with a homer by a legend on his last season.
Maybe people are scared of the unknown, it is easier to stay with what we are used to. Everyone desires companionship but the question is at what cost. Some people put up with more things than they should and others do not put up with anything. Finding the love of your life might be realizing not everyone is perfect but still have some definite nos. A new outlook on life brings you opportunity.
Maybe, a “normal”, single “boring” man sit at home alone wanting a real relationship, dreaming of sharing a life with someone who understands what a good relationship is. Having a loyal, passionate, good listener who wants to make you smile and laugh every day is very rare. It is not about trying to fix someone or change them into who you want them to be, but enjoying the person just as he or she is. It is not about looks; well maybe at first but that fades away like the wind on opening day.
Spring is a new beginning, new hopes, new dreams, new outlooks and a new start. Having a different outcome means changing the game plan, like on opening day starting a rookie in place of a proven player whom you invested a lot in. This is not easy to do but sometimes it is necessary to change the outlook of the season. Such as looking at ourselves and asking, do we have to change our outlook a little bit to get really what we are looking for in a relationship.
In business and in our personal life, personality and how people live their life every day, is what makes a relationship grow. However our eyes takes over and makes us forget what is really important. Take a chance with open eyes and ears; you never know.
Why are most women scared of writing back, are you scared? I am a very unique guy; I enjoy watching the Red Sox and the Hallmark Channel. How many guys can honestly say that? Companionship, true friendship and a real compassionate relationship is what I am seeking. I am really looking forward to hearing more about you. I am scared too but sometimes we have to take a chance. I am very interested in getting to know you.
